Shaken; not stirred
Apr. 2nd, 2009 11:06 pmI watched Quantum of Solace tonight. I spent a lot of time looking at the scenes that were "in" Haiti. Dexter got Haiti totally wrong. Not enough concrete. Not enough dust. Accents were wrong. They even use a wrong establishing shot -- a high-angle view of Pòtoprens, except that it's not actually a shot of Haiti.
So I'm watching the scenes and I'm all, like, nope. The buildings are mostly right. Lots of concrete. The ocean looks right. But the road is wrong. And the people don't look Haitian. Checking the closing credits, it looks like Panama City played the role of Haiti for this film. Pity.
