Yes, it is rather interesting. Baird sounds (and I know I shouldn't do this, diagnose people in public) like he's somewhat autistic. Very bright, earnest, passionate, but lacking in subtlety or awareness of other points of view (besides the obvious Big Bad he's fighting).
