Dec. 22nd, 2008 09:56 pmSuppose 181 countries in the UN General Assembly voted on a resolution that would affirm that "hunger constitutes an outrage and a violation of human dignity, requiring the adoption of urgent measures at the national, regional and international level, for its elimination."
Suppose, further, that the resolution passed 180 in favour, and 1 against. (For the purposes of this hypothetical situation, suppose that Cape Verde, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Kiribati, Papua New Guinea, Seychelles, and Uganda all abstained). [Poll #1319686]
