My Employers Are Really Crunchy Granola Types

Late last week, the company I work at won another Bicycle Friendly Business Award. The company has picked up a few of these over the years. This year we got the "Best Bicycle Parking Facilities" award. We have an indoor bike parking area, with separate entrance, shower and locker facilities.

I scanned down the list of nominees, and I noticed that the vast majority of other nominees were businesses oriented around "outdoors" activities (such as Mountain Equipment Co-op), non-profits (such as Children's Aid), or bicycle-oriented organizations. I'm pretty sure we're the only tech company on the list.
