She's lucky she is in Vancouver. If she had pulled this stunt in Los Angeles she would have been sued for violating the tree's civil rights after getting a free pass for arborcide. (or should that be "arbortion"?)

Seems to me we had a similar case in the Twin Cities within the last couple of years, but it involved a lot more trees and a longer sight-line. Can't recall the outcome, but it ended up expensive for the foul mistreeant.
