Y'know, it's like Cheryl Gallant all over again: Federal Conservative Brian Pallister, in his attempt to be vague about whether or not he'll jump over to provincial politics and run for provincial leader of the Manitoba Conservatives, said, "I am copying what's known as a woman's answer [...] It's a sort of fickle kind of thing."

Of course, later he said that his comments were taken out of context. I'd like to understand exactly what kind of context makes that palatable.

You weren't meant to notice it was an offensive stereotype about women, I think that's what's out of context.

Apparently it's a genetic fault among Conservatives; they can't help but put their feet knee-deep in their mouths when doing anything but reading from a prepared script.

This is exactly the sort of "get a clue" statement that most people think of when they think conservative.

Is no one in their office capable?
