The Canadian government is yet again trying to set the record straight about 9/11 hijackers and where they didn't come from.

Ambassador Gary Doer has written to Republican Senate candidate Sharon Angle, who last week referred to the U.S.-Canadian border as “the most porous border” the country has.

Ms. Angle, a tea party-backed candidate running a close race in Nevada against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, said "what we know is our northern border is where the terrorists came through."

In his note to Angle on Monday, Mr. Doer emphasized that "none of the 9/11 hijackers entered the United States from or through Canada."

"Ottawa tells Republican candidate 9/11 hijackers did not come from Canada", The Globe and Mail

Yeesh. How many times is this canard gonna keep coming back from the dead.

And srs analysts think that the Tea Party is gonna win this election. I have no words.

bcholmes: I was just a brain in a jar (brain thoughts)

The last few weeks have seen a flurry of stories about the supposed rise in queer suicides, particularly by youth and young adults. But while the deaths are undoubtedly tragic, they are by no means unusual and have not increased in number; they are simply being reported on more often. The exact reasons why the press would, at this time, take such an interest in queer suicides are the subjects of a future piece. For now, I want to complicate the narratives and stories about queer youth that are being spun in the media and in our cultural discourse.

"Queer suicides: Complicate the issue"

Long excerpt. But I really like the points it was making.
