We have all followed the earthquake news with sadness, sorrow and grief. We have seen the devastation. Haiti's earthquake Victims need our help.

You are formally invited to join the "Haiti Earthquake relief effort" a unified community based gathering of Haitians, Citizens of the GTA and all Friends of Haiti willing, wanting and ready to help.

An information session will be held on Saturday January 16 2010 from
12:00 to 5:00 pm

Yele Haiti

I've been pretty wary of Wyclef Jean's Yele Haiti organization for a while -- mostly because I dislike his politics (at least insofar as I understand them). He's been involved in a number of anti-Aristide initiatives, and his uncle, Raymond Joseph, the Haitian Ambassador to the U.S., is pretty much a rich establishment type. This article raises some more concerns about the running of the charity.
