Remember when Dick Cheney debated John Edwards and made the point about Kerry not being tough enough to fight terrorism: if he can't stand up to Howard Dean, how's he going to stand up to Osama bin Laden?

Today, the Globe and Mail reports:

Reportedly worried about being heckled by backbenchers in the House of Commons, Mr. Bush decided not to address Parliament.

Wow. Heckling backbenchers. Kinda makes Dean pale by comparison, doncha think?

Heh. There are perhaps only two places where Americans are the models of civility: soccer matches and the national legislature. I must say that, as transparently false as it is, I prefer our "the distinguished gentleman from California" charade more than the catcalls of the Parliaments of the rest of the English speaking world.
