Con on a Lark?

I'm thinking about going to a con in less than two weeks. What I mean is, today is the first day I've ever thought about going to this con (and the first day that I've even really known anything about it). But I'm thinking of going.

I'm sure that's a really dumb idea. Impulsive, at the very least.

That's what I did with WisCon, though. I think I found out about WisCon two weeks before I attended my first one. [Poll #376041]

i went to VCON within about that timeframe. i had a great time.

why do you think you need to prepare for a con for more than 2 weeks? or is it just that the ticket is gonna be expensive?

It depends on the con but most of the ones I have gone to have been fun the first time.
