Duh, no. It's for the best. The pain is nature's way of telling you that there are sweet, luscious endorphins on the way.

BTW, I'd been meaning to ask you -- is there anything I should be aware of when buying Haitian rum? Like are the major distilleries all run by the plutocracy, or is it a more-or-less value-neutral purchase?

The liquor store. :) There are several varieties of Barbancourt at the store now, including some fairly fancy-looking ones.
