Racism isn't just "a card" some people "play"

Blaming people of color for Prop. 8 passing in California is racist. So cut it the fuck out. Ditto for veiling your racism with "this is because of turnout for Obama" or "you know how conservative those immigrants can be."

sparkymonster states one of those things that I wanted to believe was obvious, but which apparently is not.

So minorities should be held to a higher standard?

I get that you're angry. When Bill 167 failed in Ontario 10+ years ago, I was similarly angry. But I think that important parts of your response aren't appropriate or helpful.

EVERYONE should be held to that standard. But any minority, any member of any minority, who has experienced discrimination should know better than to inflict it on someone else. How about some damn empathy?
