My mother just bought a 21.5" iMac: almost as pretty! (And so much faster at running Hugin and GIMP than my Powerbook G4!)
I talked her into going Mac mostly because I didn't want to try to deal with "Windows isn't working" calls for help, nor watch her deal with a computer becoming too annoyingly slow to bother using after a year or two (the fate of her last few computers) ... not because of Teh Shiny. But y'know, the beauty of this machine is pretty hard to overlook.
