Our building gets up to over 28°C (a co-worker has a digital thermometer on his desk and readings of 28.5°C were pretty common this year) in the summer anyway, even with the A/C running full-bore. As much as I like the idea of saving the environment, this building is an oven the way it's designed right now. I'd hate to see what would happen if they just cut back on the A/C without any other changes.
I really wish the building were designed better to begin with. The aggressive heating and cooling they do frequently causes problems when the weather shifts suddenly, making the building too hot or too cold by far just after such events.
When it gets up to 28° and just over, though, I'll admit that I find it impossible to do much work. I fall asleep constantly and feel nauseous in the afternoon.
Aren't you already signed up for it? I remember some project rooms at Intelliware routinely getting up into the 28ish range, and unless further HVAC work has been done, presumably the Architecture Office room is still in that state. And the IW (non-)dress code lets you dress even "cooler" than the Japanese version....
