I felt awful for him, and because of him, can't stand the thought of Dr. John Money still having a license after all this pain, regardless of whatever valid research he may have contributed. I feel bad for his kids now. He was quite the devoted father from what little I could see in an ABC documentary. It stands to reason that he may have had a tremendous distrust of the psychiatric community and so wouldn't seek help, but it is a shame nonetheless that after making every effort to recover the life he wanted that he gave it up.

I've just about finished reading the book about his life story... given the somewhat apparent happy ending (well as happy as could be), the aforementioned event is rather tragic. Actually, the whole thing is rather disturbing... it should have never been allowed to happen. The things this pour boy was subjected too, all because of someone's pet theory on the nature of gender -- arrogant showmanship should has no place in science.
