Colour me!

I'm updating a long-neglected web site. Help me choose colours!

Colours?

How did you do that? I mean the palette thingy.

I use this URL:

http://www.colormatch.dk/

(it only seems to work in Internet Explorer, though)

But but but...

Aren't there approved exceptions? Like velvet, ferinstance?

Well of course. Velvet is an approved exception to *everything*, at least in my books.

Mmmmmm...velvet.

Love the colour schemes btw. M scoffs at me for wanting a purple bedroom.

Ooh! Damn that's fun. Can't stop playing with it.

It's all the more addictive because M and I just spent the evening deciding on colours schemes for our as-yet-unbought house.

It was a close call between the last two options. I ended up picking the second last because it seemed marginally less glary; but it really depends on what's your background and foreground and things.

But then, all of those are so close to the palette I picked for my lj, so I'm hardly likely to object to any of them!

Wow... from fairly late in the game there's a remarkable polarity in favor of just two of the palettes. I wonder what the reason for that is...

I'm not a big fan of purple...

BUT:
Several years ago I found a shower curtain with just a hint of purple flowers and lots of different greens (for some reason, I love purple and green together), so I painted my bathroom a color called "evening haze" (very similar to #9D6BB3), to match the shower curtain.
Pretty colors.
