I don't know how this works in American politics: does the president-elect have a government-provided budget? Or are various activities that the Obama team are undertaking paid for by the Democratic party? Or something else?

I keep getting messages from the Obama campain for donations because of the debt, so yeah, unless things have changed in the pask week seems that way.

If those messages are the same ones I'm getting, they're about the DNC being in debt.
