A statement that is artistically catchy because of the shockingly-blunt detail loses its artistic appeal if many of the readers fixate on their objections to the detail. And I think that's definitely going to happen if she posts that paragraph by itself or in a small excerpt. I don't feel comfortable having an opinion on whether it's trans-friendly or how it should be, but my *artistic* opinion is that she should change it. And I should probably go give her that comment directly.
